In the past 5 years 1,137 new churches have been planted in Europe. Here are two encouraging examples:
Some years ago, Sergi, the pastor of a Ukrainian village church, drew a circle around his church encompassing 100 villages. He told his congregation, “You are missionaries now” and began to train them to reach their neighbours for Christ. Now there are almost 40 churches in these villages.
Meanwhile, the International Christian Fellowship in Zürich, Switzerland, targets the 18-30 age group in urban Europe. Through a combination of high quality celebration services, and relational discipleship in small groups, ICF has planted 36 churches or sites in Austria, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Spain, Albania, Switzerland and Germany, including four new plants in the last twelve months. God is doing great things!
