Barnabas Fund reports that, with the kind generosity of churches and individual Christians, over 85 primary schools in the UK have been provided with a free resource pack on Christianity. ACTS (Assisting Teachers in Schools) contains over £450 worth of material. As Religious Education is often one of the first areas to be affected by budget cuts, it is no surprise that the resources are being well received.

Each pack contains high quality books, posters and DVDs that are rich in Christ-centred content, providing a valuable investment in our children’s classrooms and lives. In Llandudno, Wales, eight schools received an ACTS pack after a group of churches raised funds.

One head teacher from West Sussex, whose school received a pack, wrote, “Thank you so much for the superb resources you delivered to school last week. The teachers have looked at them and are very pleased with the contents. I am sure they will be a very useful addition to our R.E. resources.”
