The arrival of evangelist Luis Palau, and his son Andrew, in the South American nation of Paraguay in the final days of April caused quite a stir. Each night the rains cleared up in time for the festival. Large numbers of youth came.

During the invitation you could see counsellors working to speak to multiple people and make sure everyone who responded to the Gospel received prayer and follow-up.

Luis also met with Vice President Federico Franco. The two spoke candidly about the relevance of God and the Bible to leadership, the economy, and confronting the issues of the country. He also met with members of the Supreme Court.
